I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
